Well its been awhile. I took off some of the weight I had, but I back tracked when I moved and started school. It’s difficult blending an old routine with a new one. But I need to get this under control, because it starting to affect me. Not just when I look in the mirror or when an Item of clothes don’t fit, but my health. I have asthma, and I’ve been taking my meds everyday, I feel tired, sluggish, I can’t keep focused. I need to change that, I have to change it, now I just need to be motivated to change it…
Losing Weight… Not Inches?
Posted in Uncategorized with tags diet, exercise, inches, measurements, weight loss, weight training on March 6, 2009 by camrichieAlthough I haven’t been on track with my blogging, I have been keeping on track with my exercise and semi-on track with my nutrition ( I need to be more strict on myself ).
I have seen some success, I am now down to 220.4 lbs, but my measurements are pretty much the same. I don’t know why they haven’t gone down, I would think it would have changed before the weight did. I work out, doing weight training two times a week, and my trainer is not easy on me, I can tell you that. I do feel the muscles building in my arms, and my legs have always been strong ( I’ve been known to press ~ 230lbs with a seated press ).
I am glad to see my overall weight decrease, don’t get me wrong, but I am wondering if I am doing something wrong, or not enough…What could I change, or add that will allow me to see better results.
Eat Less Exercise More, That Simple.

The end of the week has arrive and I think I have had a pretty productive work out schedule, but then again has it been productive enough? I trained only once with me trainer this week, due to the nasty snow we had to cancel our Wednesday appointment. And I was just to exhausted thursday to go to my 8:30 hip hop class. But I did crunches three mornings this week, and even though I didn’t have training I did some basic weights and tons of cardio. But is it enough, when I get on that scale later on is that numbers going to be on my side.
I am afraid my motivation may be wavering, because I can’t see the results fast enough. And the Funny thing is that a lady at my workplace said the same thing to me and I told her that she had to keep going. That increases in weight are to be expected when you are weight training because muscle weighs more than fat. That with the right combination of weight training and cardio and nutrition the results will come.
My problem is that I can’t follow my own advice. And isn’t that everyone problem, we know what we should be doing, we know exactly how to do it, but actually doing can be the challenge. We are our own worst enemy. At least I know I am mine. I can plan and plan, but to actually follow though can be tough. I need to procrastinate, procrastinating, and just do what it is I have to do. So can I? …
This Ain’t Easy
Posted in Uncategorized with tags blogging, carbs, diet, fat, food, personal trainer, Trainer, weight, weight loss, weight trainer, weight training on January 27, 2009 by camrichieSo I know I’ve been slacking quite a bit (OK, completely) with in the last couple of weeks. And I do have an excuse…. I ‘ve seemed to have developed this crazy busy schedule where I can barely fit in a 5 min phone call anymore. So my blogging has slipped, and it doesn’t help that the numbers haven’t been showing any improvement…I’ve nearly thrown away my scale because after weeks of eating spinach chicken salad lunch and cereal for breakfast the numbers aren’t changing.Today I decided I couldn’t wait till the end of the month to take my measurements so I said I’d just do my waist…no change….ok so maybe my waist and my hips…no change. I almost cried.
But I will not be disheartened. I know it takes your body time to adjust and I will given it that time. I am still watching my diet, being careful with what I eat and picking good snacks in between meals. Always keeping track of calories.
My Trainer and I have decided to focus more on weight training instead of adding cardio and trying to keep my heart rate up throughout the work out. So basically just weights, which probably means I’ll be pain for the majority of my week, but good pain.
I’m still doing the dancing, but the timing is beginning to get bad for me. I very tried by 6:30 and 8:30 that it’s hard for me to go, but I remind myself I am paying for each class and I can’t afford to be wasting money. I may not continue when the session is over, or I might just do the ballet only. But when that time comes I’ll decide.
Now about my blogging, I am a very bad blogger, I am not good with the everyday entries, because by the time I get around to it at night, my bed is calling louder than the computer. But I am definitely going to try and give you an entry every week, and let you know how I am feeling and everything is going. as for the food and daily weigh in, I am going to cut that, I can’t find the time every day to type it up, unfortunately.
Next week I’ll let you know if am still in pain and I’ll give you an update on my mearsurements
